The Elio Marussich bivouac, built in 1979 and then restored in 1994, stands at 2,043 m on the plateau of Mount Canin, a few metres from Sella Grubia. From here there is a magnificent view of the Montasio group, Mount Canin and Resia Valley.
The small shelter, grey-green in colour, is excellently equipped and contains 9 beds.
The Bivouac is a highly-valued destination visited by hikers who come from the Gilberti refuge across Sella Grubia (CAI trail no. 632).

Alternative access routes are: from Stolvizza di Resia in 6 hours (trail no. 634), from Chiusaforte in 6 hours (trail no° 632), from Coritis in 5 hours (trail no. 657 and 634), from Tamaroz in 5 hours (trail no. 646), from Val Raccolana via Casera Goriuda in 4½ hours (trail no. 645) and from Sella Nevea via the "Troi dai Sachs" in 4½ hours (trail no. 645).
