The Malga Confin (1,330 m), regenerated after years of neglect, is situated just outside the Park limits. It is set along a small saddle characterized by the presence of a reddish subsurface rock typical of the area known as “scaglia rossa” (red flake).
Being permeable, the rock cuts off the flow of underground streams and causes them to divert, giving rise to numerous springs.
Today, it contains a 15-bed holiday farm.
