The Park authority’s statutory purpose is to conserve the natural environment and to this end it avails itself of natural conservation initiatives and its own resources to support and advance sustainable social, economic and cultural development. For this reason, it has granted the use of its own brand for services and products, provided and made in the Municipalities over which the Park spans, which have the sustainable requisites in terms of environment, quality and typicality. The trademark can be found on products or promotional materials serving as a “recommendation” alongside the firm’s individual brand name or mark.

Business activity:
Operating since 2001, the farm’s main activity is breeding poultry and rabbits and growing and selling vegetables (speciality: native species of bean), but they also graze donkeys and cows. The animals are bred according to rural methods, put out to pasture or fed on forage derived from farming local land. Since 2006, it has been accredited as a Teaching farm, a service much wanted by the farm owner (in collaboration with the Agricultural Cooperative “Gniviza”), to convey the importance of farming and respect for the mountain environment (woodland and pasture) to students and families.

Opening times:
The farm is naturally operating all year, but visits are preferred at the weekend.

The Teaching Farm course is run subject to booking.

Business activity: Presentazione dell’attività:
Since 2001, this agricultural cooperative, founded by Marina Gelleni and Marco Pinosa, has been organically farming goats, obtaining excellent dairy products, amongst which caciotta and ricotta. Both their goats and Avelignese horses are bred in semi-open herding conditions. The cooperative also has a thriving crop of native beans, much prized for their quality. Since 2006, they run a Teaching Farm (in collaboration with the “Fumagalli” Farm) for students and families to learn the importance of farming and respect for the mountain environment (woodland and pasture).

Business activity:
This is a very special amusement park – a new activity which is taking Europe by storm, known as “Tarzaning” or “Treeclimbing”, which consists of climbing up trees and moving from one to another via walkways, Tibetan bridges, lianas, pulleys, etc. This is all done with the utmost safety and is suitable for all ages, from 3 to 90 years old, and all levels of fitness, immersed in the uncontaminated stillness of 8,000 m² of woodland at the foot of the Canin and Montasio massifs.

The restaurant seats 70 and serves local Friulian home cooking.
The hotel represents an important base for tourists, providing various recreational activities such as climbing courses, mountain bike hire, horse trekking and hikes. For younger children, there are pony rides and fun and games in an inflatable adventure playground.
At the Tourist Centre, in the winter period, cross-country ski equipment can be hired (skis, poles, boots) and there are also bobsleighs and sledges at the cross-country ski piste at Passo Tanamea.
The Tourist Centre also serves as a base for hikers, with a large car park which can accommodate coaches.

The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
